Seattle Trip

Last Wednesday, we packed up the kids and headed to Seattle to visit my sister, Tracey. It was a long drive and the kids did amazingly well. On Thursday and Friday, while Steve and Tracey were working, we took the kids on some adventures. My niece, Megan, accompanied us. The kids love her, plus she is a great photographer!

First we went to the Pacific Science Museum.

The boys loved the dinosaur exhibit.

Pretending to be astronauts in this model space shuttle.

Who can resist a family picture in front of a giant praying mantis?

Victor, holding a large cockroach. Kedrick kept his distance.

The next day we drove to Tacoma to visit the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. The boys were anxious to see the Polar bears.

The kids loved seeing the elephant.

Kedrick, in his zoo hat.

Victor, who never wore his hat,
instead he carried it around swinging it in circles.

On Saturday, we spent the day with Steve and Tracey, and went on a fabulous hike. The trailhead is at the end of their street, just a couple of blocks from their house in Kirkland. It was beautiful!

Steve, Tracey, Ranger, and our family.
The only picture I got of Megan (far right),
who spent most of her time behind the camera.
This is a typical Kedrick-Eva moment.
They always make each other laugh.
What a sweet friendship they have!

Damie, pretending to eat a giant slug.
There were many slugs on the path. We also saw a snail.

We snuck away to visit my brother Don and his family, very briefly. We timed it perfectly, so that we could catch a glimpse of my nephew all dressed up, getting ready to go to his Senior Prom. Cassidy is a couple of inches taller than Damie.
