Cowboy Boots

Jack's brother had a cowboy boot collection. He also had small feet. So when Papa and Gramma went back for the funeral, the nephews encouraged them to take some cowboy boots for my boys.
If they are anything like their dad, the boys should fit into these in late-elementary school. Of course, they can't wait that long.

Papa and Gramma bought these adorable boots for Eva (they didn't want her to feel left out)...

And, as you can see, Eva loves to use the potty!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter celebration this year. On Saturday, we had Easter dinner at Damie's parents' house. Jeanie had Easter baskets for the kids, mostly filled with toys and very little candy. She also gave the kids a bunch of new clothes.

Eva's basket had this tiara and princess flower wand.

I love this expression. I call it "Pirate Princess." Argh!

Sunday morning, we all dressed up and went to church. I snapped a few pictures before the kids could get their Easter clothes dirty.

After church, we had lunch with friends and an Easter egg hunt. It was a mad dash.

On your mark, get set...

GO!!!!

I cannot stop taking pictures of this girl! I don't know if it is because she is adorable and I love her so much, or because she is the only one of my children who moves slowly enough to capture on camera.

Family Hike

Our family went to Camel's Back Park this weekend. It was so nice to have a family day, doing something fun, something that takes effort, and for me to be a part of it. It's been a long time coming.
Victor and Eva are always anxious to pose for the camera. Kedrick will pose, but never long enough to actually get a decent picture. He cannot stop moving. He's so curious, and an explorer.

A Leader

Eva plans everything we do these days. She loves to be outside. Every morning, after I dress her, she grabs a pair of shoes and a coat and heads for the door. It doesn't matter if it is hot or cold, raining or snowing. The boys gladly follow, but would otherwise be content playing inside.

Eva also loves playing the piano and giggles with joy whenever I let her play. She won't stop until I pull her away, kicking and screaming.

I dreamed of having a little girl who would like to sit and color. As active as Eva is, I didn't think she would. But she loves it! She will sit at the table for the longest time, coloring. And once again, the boys follow. Normally, they will only sit and color for a few minutes. But with Eva, they sit and color much longer.

Gramma and Papa bought Eva her first tricycle. She loves it and has already managed to push the pedal once or twice.

Spring!

Spring finally visited, for just a couple of days. My fabulous new sister-in-law Nikki, and her dog Bella, joined the kids and I on a hike up Table Rock. It was a very fun day.

The boys got very tired, and needed a little rest on the way up.
