Unfortunately, most of our fun this summer has been at home, which is probably easier with a six-month-old. Here are some pictures of the kids having fun at home. I love how they all play together.

Poo Face
I'm sure someday Eva will be unhappy about this post. But I just can't help but show her adorable little poo-face. Here is the progression...

Happy Birthday Jen!
My friend Jen came over for a play date last week. It just happened to be the day after her birthday, and I couldn't resist celebrating with a cake. Jen is a wonderful friend and an amazing woman. I admire her so much!
The kids aren't looking terribly excited in this picture, but its the only one I got of all of them and the cake. I think they are a bit disappointed that it's a grown-up cake and it's lemon flavored.

Piano Play
Here are a few cute pictures of the kids playing the piano. Eva in particular, takes her piano playing very seriously...

Wig
My dear friend Kristie gave me her wig. It will be such an honor to wear it. Of course, any thing that enters our home, at some point, will become a toy. So I gave the boys a few minutes of silly playtime with the wig. Here are the results...
Kings and Astronauts
The boys got a new bed. Actually, it is an old bed. My sister, Nancy, gave it to us about a year ago. We finally decided to get it out of the garage and move it into the boys room. It is very cool. It has tons of storage and a crawl space in the back. The boys spend hours playing on it.

On The Move
Eva is on the move! I must confess, when I found out I was having a girl I was hoping she would be a bit less physical than the boys. I imagined a sweet little girl who liked to sit and drink tea. I think the active quality of my kids is not "boy" but rather "lasater." Eva is super determined and super active. She started crawling this week. Sometimes she does the bear crawl, sometimes the army crawl, and sometimes just a regular crawl. She also started pulling herself up into a standing position. The problem is that she isn't quite coordinated enough, so we often hear her cry - only to find her hanging by her strong little arms from some piece of furniture, with her legs stuck beneath her, confused about how to stand.

Sweet Times
Our sweet friends, Jordan and Makayla came over after my surgery last week to help take care of my kids. They were here three days in a row. It was a huge blessing. The kids adore them. Jordan played hard with the boys and completely exhausted them. He also read to them, book after book. Makayla enjoyed cuddling with Eva and helped prepare meals. One day she even brought a book about gardens and had the boys plant seeds and taught them about seeds in the Bible. Jordan and Makayla are amazing!
The Animal Game
Lately, at dinner, we've been playing the animal game. We go around the table and each person says what animal they are and what they like to eat. For example...
"I'm a bear and I LOOOVE to eat honey!"
or
"I'm a bunny rabbit and I LOOOVE to eat carrots!"
At lunch today, Victor said, "I'm a lion and I LOOOVE to eat Daniels."
